CHA Retail Barometer 2011: What’s really happening?
All too often the surveys and articles in the media focus on the multiple retailers; this Barometer is only about independents – and we really need you to be a part of it.
In 2005, the first ever independent Cookshop and Housewares Retail Barometer was launched, co-organised by the CHA and Progressive Housewares magazine. This year’s annual survey will provide another fascinating picture of what Housewares retailing is really like for independents today in this challenging climate.
The findings of the CHA Retail Barometer provide an insight into the trials, tribulations and triumphs of the independent specialist cookshop and housewares retailer – and with several years’ results now under our belts, everyone is able to see what patterns have and are emerging. The more CHA members that participate, the better the representational picture.
Well aware that form filling is no one’s favourite pastime, we have made the questions interesting and easy to complete – covering a lively combination of topics - from serious business issues to light-hearted ones.
The collective findings of this important Retail Barometer will appear in the January/February 2012 issue of Progressive Housewares. You have our personal guarantees that your answers and details will remain completely confidential.
CHA Members: Please contact us for your copy of the survey. All completed forms should be returned to the Cookshop and Housewares Association at 225 Bristol Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B5 7UB by 11th November 2011.
All completed forms will be entered into a prize draw to win a luxury hamper filled with delicious goodies.
